Training workshops for Birth Professionals / Midwives
Natal Hypnotherapy is becoming more recognised and valued as an effective tool to help normalise birth.
With the launch of the NHS funded trials into the use of self hypnosis for birth (SHIP trial), and as more and more women are using these techniques, it is important for birth professionals to have a good understanding of Hypnotherapy for birth in order for them to support women in the most effective way possible.
Natal Hypnotherapy recognise the need to provide training to midwives, antenatal teachers and Doulas and so have launched a new series of introductory stud days on the techniques and benefits of Hypnotherapy for pregnancy and birth.
By attending the workshop you will learn effective techniques to:-
• Help women reduce fear
• Enable women to be more confident
• Make the words you use have a more positive effect
• Relax and calm women before and during labour
• Increase normal birth outcomes
The workshops will cover:-
• An Introduction to Natal Hypnotherapy
• The history of hypnosis and birth
• The impact of fear on the physiology of birth
• The important role of hormones during labour
• The fear - tension - pain cycle and how to break it
• The power of language and its effect on a pregnant woman
• Effective use of language in the birthing room
• Relaxation and visualisation techniques
• Key factors in supporting women who use Natal Hypnotherapy
The workshop fee is:-
£75 for birth professionals including midwives, maternity assistants, Doulas, antenatal teachers
£45 for Students
The fee includes a complimentry copy of Maggie Howell's new book "Effective birth preparation - your practical guide to a better birth"
